After a satisfying breakfast provided by your lodge in Puerto Maldonado, your lodge staff will accompany you sailing to the port of Puerto Maldonado city. Once there, you will be transferred to the airport, where you will say goodbye and be boarded on a direct flight to Cusco. Upon arrival in Cusco, we will be waiting for you in the arrival area of domestic flights at Cusco airport with a sign with your name, to avoid altitude sickness, we will transfer directly from Cusco airport to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, located at a lower altitude than the city of Cusco (600 meters approximately), once your body is perfectly acclimatized to the altitude, we can enjoy the charms offered by the fascinating Sacred Valley of the Incas. During our tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we will visit an exceptional project called Awanacancha, where you can appreciate the 4 types of South American camelids bred in captivity: the llama, the alpaca, the guanaco and the vicuña. In addition, you can feed them and learn to distinguish them. Also, the locals who work there will show you how they use the techniques of their Inca ancestors to transform the delicate fur of these animals, especially the alpaca and vicuña, into beautiful and colorful garments through traditional weaving. Then, we will arrive at a spectacular Inca archaeological site on a hill called Pisac, with magnificent terraced fields on the slopes of its hills, among Inca enclosures, squares, temples and an Inca cemetery. Descending to the modern city, we will get lost among the colorful stalls of the famous traditional market of Pisac, where we will be fascinated by the beautiful handicrafts made by the local people. We will then head to a charming local restaurant amidst the beautiful scenery of the Sacred Valley to enjoy a delicious lunch, included in our program. Finally, we will transfer you to your hotel in the middle of the spectacular scenery of the Sacred Valley to enjoy a delicious dinner on your own and rest.
